DIVERSITY TRAINING CASE STUDIES
Diversity program for Investment Bank
We developed a half-day participative workshop for this client. The program addresses managing corporate and social responsibilities for staff. It is an introduction to the discrimination and bullying issues that are preoccupying finance and enables managers to pre-empt issues and prevent potential problems from becoming likely subjects of litigation. The training was presented with a lawyer, who had co-written the workshop.
We also developed a discrimination awareness half-day session that centres on selection and appraisal for managers. It focuses on 'dos and don'ts' at interview and selection, the danger of verbal contracts, harassment and bullying and ways to create a 'harassment free environment.' It deals with email and Internet abuse and touches on data protection and dress rules.
Diversity program with UK Fund Manager
One of the largest UK Fund managers is currently working with us to facilitate a series of mandatory workshops for senior management on preventing discrimination and lowering claims. We are also introducing this to all new employees. The programme was timed to coincide with the firm's new branding.
Diversity training for investment bank
A global investment firm has commissioned us to develop the following program as a pilot across three divisions. We have developed a women's career development program structured over one year as follows:
- Confidence building and assertiveness at work delivered as short series of seminars.
- Career management planning and training needs analysis through half day and short breakfast seminar programs.
- Balancing home and work for parents. Lunchtime seminars previously delivered for an investment bank and a global computer technologies company.
- Self-management. Goal setting, planning and prioritising delivered as part of our
work-life balance seminar program for professional services women in association with London women's networks.

Leadership Training for High Street Bank
- Individual senior management programme to develop a motivational coaching management style to fit with the new 360º performance management system.
- Neuro Linguistic Programming used in group training sessions.
EMPOWERING WOMEN CASE STUDY
Women and leadership diversity training for retail bank
We have developed an independent leadership training program running for one year developed alongside the redevelopment of a new 360º performance management system.
This program began with a 'women in the working environment' one-day conference program designed for the senior women's career development network. This then facilitated the development of a larger women's network used to develop an in-house mentoring system for new recruits through to senior managers.
We are currently running a leadership training program for first line managers accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management.
WORK-LIFE BALANCE CASE STUDY
Work-life balance Workshops for International Car Manufacturer
- In the name of 'National work-life balance Week' this request was to develop a range of workshops on planning & prioritising,
stress management, work-life balance strategy, change management and leadership styles.
- These 2-hour sessions were designed to insight staff to take the key messages and learning from their sessions back to their teams as part of an internal drive on sharing best practice: motivation and innovation were the desired outcomes.
- We have been invited to return this year to design a new programme.
Work-life balance strategy for international insurance group
We developed and delivered a training module to fit in with the global management development program, developed by the company, designed to support 'high achievers' identified as having senior management potential. The focus was on innovative working practices, planning, prioritising and well-being. We are now running the program for the third time.
