  • Book an appointment with an alternative therapist such as a hypnotherapist, counsellor or book a massage. These therapies can help to reduce stress on a mental, emotional and physical level.


  • Take time to meditate and relax. Picture a peaceful scene or repeat a positive affirmation such as "I am peaceful." This can reduce anxiety and produce feelings of calm and alertness.


  • Make a list of things to do (or things you have accomplished) and concentrate on one thing at a time. Learn to manage your time by prioritising tasks, delegating or asking for help.


  • Balancing your work and home life is very important, try not to take work home with you and keep work and home life separate.


  • Ensure that you get quality time for yourself, even getting up ten minutes earlier or taking a proper break at lunch time and do something relaxing away from the office, such as sitting in a park or taking part in a yoga class, which is very relaxing for the mind and body.
